Masterpeace Kenya/Kenya

JUN 2016

'Greetings fellow peace activists from MasterPeace Kenya group. We, being part of MasterPeace, believe in 'Being Nelsons' in our conflict stricken world to make a change. This is an inspiration from the late Nelson Mandela. The fact that we have all come together in donating our talents, time and energy to contribute to peace, giving the best of us for peace, we can definitely achieve peace in these conflict areas no matter how big or small. Therefore, we commend all of you in the peace work you are doing, and as IPYG has provided this platform where we can work together, let's make peace happen!'

It is a great responsibility to work with IPYG. Armenia and Korea have a familiar history and during the ages both our nations were striving and fighting for Peace. We think globally but act locally, but the time has come to act together, globally. We must get to know each other better, not only as organizations but to learn about each other’s values, cultures and mentality. We really appreciate cooperating with IPYG.

Peace is the fundamental phenomenon of our lives. Living in peace gives us grounds to feel harmony and to breathe freely, and by saying 'freely' I mean being in a state where the colours surrounding you are bright, but that it is up to you whether to do something or not, to dream or to plan, or even to sit back and just watch people pass by. This condition is the realization of a state which human beings need to create a beautiful and meaningful life.

When the Liaison from IPYG contacted us (Armenian Progressive Youth) I was really glad to learn of such a youth organization, with their scope of activities of which are devoted to peace. What I really liked about IPYG is the passion towards what they do, the willingness to do something together and of course the feeling of responsibility.

Through the agreement with the International Peace Youth Group, we are now able to officially participate in HWPL projects. The projects will be held within the youth, women, press, and religious sectors, and the project’s goal is to urge an end to all wars as well as the achievement of world peace. As an organization associated with the UN DPI, HWPL has announced that the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War will be submitted to the United Nations to have the Declaration’s provisions implemented at an international level through the UN. In order for these to take effect, signatures of political leaders around the world will be needed.

I think Russia must take the lead in achieving world peace, because Russia has friendly relations with the UN, and it is a nation that has worked for peace in various fields.

Integration of Azerbaijani Youth to Europe Organization (AGAT)

MAY 2016

As a youths of conflict region we know the value of peace. We know that "The worst peace is better than the best war." There are countless youth organizations that want to wage peace, not war. Young people are the main actors of societal changes. The impact of a group of young people’s peace-building activity can be really big. Young people are essential to the establishment of lasting security and they are often among conflict’s first victims – and they can lead as champions of peace. Yet in conflict-torn countries, these groups lack the influence, capacity and funds they need to operate effectively. They share ideals of peace – and they deserve unstinting assistance from world.

With the right cooperation and support, young people can build peace, foster reconciliation and achieve democratic governance. We invite the representatives of youth organizations and civil society partners to unite our strength to maintain international peace and security. Fine words are worthy, but actions and support drive progress.
